Chili’s is a place that sells food with bold flavors and when I heard they have a new item that can give people heart attacks. When someone tells you that this burger is a heart attack on a plate you got to take it seriously.
The Boss Burger
There’s so many items on this burger it’s hard to believe how they come up with this. The Boss Burger consists of: Bacon, Jalapeño, Sausage, pulled Rib Meat Brisket, Cheddar Cheese, Beef Patty, Lettuce, Tomato, Ranch and BBQ sauce. With all these ingredients you need to be prepared ready to eat this Boss of a meal.
This dish is packed with so many flavor profiles. From the tenderness of the meat to the crunch factor of the bacon. As soon as you pressed down on the sandwich the juices starts flowing down. I recommend hold the burger with one hand as best as you can because once the juices are released you hand won’t make it out clean. You don’t get that much of a kick with jalapeños which is ok because all of that umami flavor overthrows the rest of the burger but the ranch and BBQ sauce helps keep that meaty umami flavor in check. I didn’t think that ranch and bbq would go together but it did. The sweetness from the bbq and tangy taste from the ranch help make this burger be fit for a boss. It’s served with fries in case you think you finished your burger and you need a cool down. The fries are freshly cut (evenly) and lightly sprinkled with salt and parsley.
The Big Cookie
Now I know what you’re thinking. That burger should have gotten you full not wanting more. I understand but when you see something called “The Big Cookie” you have to at least wonder what it could be. Before receiving this I thought it was a big cookie and that’s it. Even though I did get a big cookie it was topped off with a soft serve and molten lava cake sauce. This cookie was rich and moist and melted in your mouth. There’s no way that you’re able to pick up the cookie because of the moist factor. Though it’s good to share this dessert with friends and/or family.
Overall, the dish is fantastic and very fulfilling. Everything was packed to perfection and made for heavy eaters and all the hangry people out there.
